Whistleblowing
REPORTS OF IRREGULARITIES (WHISTLEBLOWING)
Information for employees and collaborators
In March 2023, a legislative decree was issued (Legislative Decree no. 24/2023) which protects people who report irregularities (whistleblowing) of which they become aware as part of their work. The irregularities may concern violations of Italian regulations and violations of European regulations such as:
- The rules on safety at work, on relations with the Public Administration, tax crimes, administrative and accounting ones, as far as national rules are concerned.
- European rules on public procurement, environmental protection, public health, protection of privacy and protection of personal data.
To fulfill this obligation, our Cooperative has appointed a Supervisory Body which has the task of receiving, monitoring and evaluating all reports on events that could give rise to liability for the company pursuant to European Directive 2019/1937.
All employees and other individuals who work for the Cooperative with other forms of collaboration can send reports to the Supervisory Body: self-employed workers, freelancers and consultants, volunteers and interns (paid and unpaid). People in charge of control, supervision and representation of the Cooperative can also send reports.
Reports must be sent to the Supervisory Body using the form on the Cooperative's website, in the "Whistleblowing" folder; the form is managed on an external platform which is accessed only by the Supervisory Body and which guarantees the confidential management of all report data.
Reporters in good faith are guaranteed against any form of retaliation, discrimination or penalisation, without prejudice to legal obligations and the protection of the rights of the company or of persons accused wrongly and/or in bad faith. Reports that are unfounded or that may fall within the scope of defamation or slander can be sanctioned with fines to be paid by the whistleblowers.
